Lawson’s is a family business, and a culmination of 37 years in the fish & chips trade. Our family has run fish & chip shops from the Scottish Highlands to the Midlands of England.
Crossing the Atlantic in 2001, after successfully opening a number of stores throughout Canada, our latest in the Sunwapta Centre West Edmonton is truly as authentic as it gets!

We take pride in ethically-sourced, premium fish.

At Lawson’s, we are committed to providing our customers with the very best traditional British fish and chips. We take pride in serving ethically-sourced premium fish. We only serve the traditional British ‘chip shop chip’ made from locally grown Alberta potatoes, selected for their taste and texture, that we peel and cut ourselves.

We prepare, and fry, our fish and chips separately in the highest quality oils. Our batters, sauces and side dishes are all made in house, as they should be!

Absolutely fantastic! The Sharing For 2 was perfect — large crispy chips, 8 delicious torpedo shrimp, and sides of tangy pickled onions and creamy coleslaw. The flavors were outstanding and everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. We also ordered the Kids Menu Battered Burger & Chips, which was huge and loved by the kids! Excellent service and a great value meal. Highly recommend for a satisfying seafood feast!
